Female Self Defence.

 

Ladies self-defence has been peddled for many years. Sadly, much that is taught is absolute nonsense.  I am brutally honest in my instruction. Teaching misleading techniques leads to false confidence and that is a dangerous path to follow. We have to work to the limits of your capabilities. A confidential appointment is necessary to establish your targets. Initially, should you require, you may bring a friend as company in order to help confidence.

 

One to one tuition can be intense, as you command 100% attention of the instructor. Initially this can make you nervous. Also mistakes are more obvious, compounding the nerves. Over time, you will learn to relax when under the microscope. This in itself is a benefit to self-confidence.

 

Private tuition requires a certain mind-set, because the student has to complete personal practice time alone. A one-hour lesson transfers into hours of practice, if you cannot commit to personal practice then you will be wasting your fee. 

 

I enjoy one to one as I love to see development. I am bolstered by enthusiasm, instructors thrive of it. All I ask of my student is that you try. This is the single most important word to me. We each have different skill levels, but a person that gives 100% is a true Budoka and stands out like a shining beacon.

 

After the introductory lesson, five hourly sessions is the minimum commitment required. Anything less is a pointless request.​

The following training programs are are available. (Custom programs by discussion)

 

• Self-defence 1.   Awareness, attitude, striking. (Ten lessons) Basic strike demo

 

• Self-defence 2.  Basic strikes, kicks and close work. Timescale 3-6 months. (Subject to attendance).

 

• Self-defence 3.  Advanced system of self-defence. Timescale, 6-12months. (subject to attendance).

 

• Karate 4.             A continuous syllabus to black belt. Timescale, 3-6 years. (Subject to attendance).

 

• Training will be a seventy minute sessions unless requested.

 

• Location to suit. Extended travel will incur expenses.
